Move to DC

So I made the move to DC. Rented a Uhaul and drove down this past Friday. The unloading was exceptionally easy. Within a few hours we were done. Saturday involved breakfast and Ikea in the morning. Sunday was a play day with most of the time spent roaming around the National Mall. Late Sunday afternoon we got caught in a pretty good thunderstorm and had to take shelter in the Lincoln Memorial. I've posted a few pics from the storm below.





Then after the storm, we decided to walk around some more, only to be caught in a rain shower afterwards.



Soaking wet, we decided to mosey back to the apartment.

I hope to continue with more pictures as I explore the area more in the near future.

The world quickly changes

So I start a new job on June 4th. I am going to be working at SSAI (a contracting company that does jobs for NASA) in Maryland. It's just outside of DC so I get the city life blended with the suburban culture that I have grown oh so accustomed to. I found a sweet little apartment on the tenth floor of a high rise in Silver Spring so I envision that there will be a fair amount of opportunity for pictures and the like from that region to come. So stay tuned as my life quickly begins its jaunt into the world of the working man.

Welcome

I don't do well with these blog things, I can't seem to update them often or at all. Perhaps this time will be different. Anyways, I'm moving on from college, got a job in Maryland and figured that this might be a good time to start. I intend on posting updates as well as photos and other fun stuff on here occasionally so stop by from time to time.
